Economist - Amazon
Hello, and welcome to my website! I'm an economist at Amazon, where I'm part of the Survey Science Team in the People eXperience and Technology organization, working to help make Amazon the world's best employer.
I hold a PhD in education policy and program evaluation from Harvard University. My research focuses on the intersection of higher education policy with immigration, transportation, and health care—particularly how these overlapping policy areas shape educational and labor market outcomes for low-income, minority, and immigrant communities.
Before joining Amazon, I was a doctoral research affiliate at the Harvard Project on Workforce, researching workforce development and its relationship with higher education. I also hold a Master's in Public Policy from Vanderbilt University, where I worked as an analyst in the Department of Health Policy, and a bachelor's degree in economics from Brigham Young University.
As a first-generation Mexican immigrant who came to the U.S. as a young child, my experiences navigating higher education deeply inform my research. Outside of work, my wife and I stay busy raising our four energetic kids.
